Absinthe is actually really nasty. The mythos is much more appealing than the drink itself. Alas, it's not made with the hallucinogenic wormwood extracts in it anymore :< That *may* have redeemed it. ....Ugh. Back to packing. |

You are a figment of the imagination that shattered my past. I can't quite figure out who you are ..my innocence or my sanity?

It is through art, and through art only, that we can realize our perfection; through art and art only that we can shield ourselves from the sordid perils of actual existence.
-Oscar Wilde

And, if that's the new top hat, I might have to go ahead and order one.

Also, absinthe is not nice in any way. But if you melt sugar into it and set it on fire it's doable. Green absinthe, that is. But never, ever, EVER, try black absinthe. There's a bar in Brussels called Floris that specialises in all different kinds of absinthe. Black absinthe is one of the most potent liquors out there (only beaten by I think like Everclear, I think it might be the same as Bacardi 151, not sure at all) and you do the same thing with it as the green- sugar, on fire, down it. I uh, basically almost passed out, dragged myself upstairs to the water fountain and tried in vain to drink water- my tongue, throat and mouth were so completely numb that I couldn't feel the water in my mouth.
PS- you can find absinthe that still has the wormwood in it (illicitly) in central europe.
PPS- Sorry... I just felt like sharing my absinthe story xD
